When Sasha (Nancy Kimball), a troubled college student, pays a surprise visit to her estranged grandfather, Desmond (Sean Weil), the two spend the night out in the city drinking, under the pretense of reconnecting, while the real reason for Sasha’s visit remains hidden. Uncomfortable with Sasha’s teenage awkwardness and pulled by his alcohol addiction, Desmond hits on a waitress only a few years older than Sasha. As the trio goes clubbing and metaphorically dance around one another, sexual and behavioral norms bend, and the relationships develop in unexpected ways. This nocturnal short fiction film explores the ambiguous role of sexuality in family dynamics, and the momentary connections people make.
