These poems were written in 2021 and 2022, after the end of a 13 year relationship. Thematically all address the highs, lows, and ambiguous in-between states of love. An early working title for the collection was, ‘what else but love poems,’ because really, what else is there, behind the dark curtain of our superfluous words?
